Archangel's Legion (Guild Hunter, #6)Title: Archangel's Legion
Series:  Guild Hunter (Book 6)
Author:  Nalini Singh
Narrator:  Justine Eyre
Genre:  Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy

FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC is the only way to describe the phenomenal writing Nalini Singh displays in her latest book, Archangel's Legion.  This was by far the best book in the series and rounding out to be my favorite read of 2013 thus far!  This review will be short because I refuse to give away any of the gooey morsels held within mostly because you MUST experience them for yourself.

In Archangel's Legion we find Elena and Raphael continuing to grow as a couple and Elena steadily gaining more strength and confidence in her new barely immortal status.  Singh does an awesome job of bringing previous characters to the forefront and also advancing some of the more elusive story lines.  We gain more insight into Elena's family heritage with a shocking discovery that will lead readers to see her father Jeffrey in a new light and maybe even forgive his past discretionary treatment of Elena.  We also learn whether Vivek is a viable candidate for becoming a vampire and his reaction to discovering Elena requested he be tested.  Additionally, readers are treated to the beauty of the new and blossoming relationship with Elena's younger hunter born sister Eve as the two sisters fight to find common ground among Jeffrey's hatred of their unique gifts.

The parts of Archangel's Legion that I will hold near and dear lies in the growth that both Elena and Raphael have embraced in their battle to save New York from the deadly army threatening to crush their territory forever.  Singh takes us back to the Raphael we first met in Angel's Blood, and we are treated to the cold and concise version of Raphael that would have him erasing the memories of Elena's closest friends in a effort to maintain the secrets of the angels.  The beauty comes from Elena brutally fighting Raphael for the right to keep her friends' memories whole, while also realizing that she will inevitably have to embrace her new allegiances because of her love for Raphael.  We also see Elena start to embrace her role as Consort and start to act in that role while forging her own allegiances with the angels and vampires in Raphael's territory.

I am anxiously awaiting the next installment in the Guild Hunter world especially with the big unveil in the finale of the book.  Singh provides just enough crumbs to leave readers speculating whose book will be next.  I'm putting my money on Aodhan just because he has become front and center in this book and made some strides towards gaining the healing he so desperately needs.  Either way, I"m on board and will be on pins and needles awaiting her announcement for the release date of the next book.  Have you read Archangel's Legion yet? What did you think?  Leave me a comment and lets discuss......I'm giving this one 5 Huge Awe Inspiring Notes and 5 Flames because Raphael and Elena heated up the sheets!
