Consumed by the need to feed…
After an out-of-control spell triggers the zombie apocalypse, Lizzy Addams is left in the ruins of Chicago with only the slightly unhinged commentary—and endless erotic appetites—of her inner demon for company. Her blood supply dwindling, she is forced to find survivors to feed from, or die trying.
Officer Angela Kinney was on duty when hungry corpses overwhelmed the city. The survivors look to her for leadership, but nothing prepared her for a beautiful monster who offers safety in exchange for blood.
Sean MacMillan never expected to see Lizzy again after she rejected his attempts to lure her back to the vampire fold. But with his flock threatened by the horde and his murderous vampire brother, Lizzy is the only one he can trust to keep them safe.
The veil of secrecy shrouding the supernatural world torn apart, humanity’s only hope is to forge an alliance with vampires, werewolves, and things that go bump in the night. Though accepting their aid could be a devil’s bargain that puts humans at the bottom of the food chain.
Bite Me was not what I expected. You have a vampire trying to survive during the zombie apocalypse and she can only feed on live human blood. I thought the beginning was gonna start out with a half crazy vamp trying to kill every living survivor because there is just a low "food" supply. Nope we get Lizzy. This chick is hardcore. She has a complete building that she lives in with solar powered electricity and hot water. Can I have a survivor say
WINNER! Lizzy is not looking to feed off every living person but to have an arrangement for people to willingly donate blood....like she has a whole set-up. While she is out one day looking for survivors she runs across a car full of women and kids. There are a couple people trying to move broke down vehicles out the street but a herd of zombies has them in their radar. Lizzy being a kick-arse vamp comes to the rescue.
Now, I must say that I knew vampire were freaky but Lizzy has a serious kink. She lets us know that vampires are bisexual and down for whatever. I almost left out an important trait about Lizzy, she has an inner demon that's a succubus named Elizabeth. Elizabeth puts the k in kink. Due to there being a low supply of bodies that Lizzy will allow her to feed/bang, Elizabeth started a porn site. This chick has contains full of sex toys...yes I said contains. While Lizzy is rescuing humans, there is an incident and here comes Angela to the rescue. Due to Lizzy being hurt, she needs to feed in order to save the group. Angela is the willing donor but she was not expecting for the bite to make her ready to get down and dirty. Elizabeth is down for whatever but Lizzy is shocked to find out that Angela is attracted to women. And so this is how their romance starts.
Lizzy is not the only vampire that resides in Chicago but from her past she is not the social butterfly. One night while the crew was listening to the radio trying to find more survivors, they are contacted by Sean. Sean is Lizzy's "brother." They are not on the best of terms because Lizzy thinks that Sean is like the rest for their "father's" kids. They participate in each others charity work but that's about it. Lizzy and Sean are able to come to an arrangement for him and his crew to move into Lizzy's building. This is fine and all but Sean as an inner incubi. So these two being around each other can cause some issues since Lizzy is with Angela and Sean is with his crew. Eventually, they are able to make things work but it's very odd.
So, by the time the shyte hits the fan at Lizzy's building we have humans, vampires, and werewolves. Yep, it's an all out party.
Bite Me was an awesome book. I wish this was a series because I would love to know how the group is able to stay together. I like the way the sex scenes are not overdone. Like some books the sex scenes are just over the top and at some point they get skipped over. Not in
Bite Me, I wanted to know every little juicy detail. I was in know way disappointed. Seeing the relationship build between Angela and Lizzy was nice but adding Elizabeth, Sean, and his incubi to the mix was interesting.
Bite me is wickedly scorching. Not in all books can you get action, romance, and
HOT sex scenes. This book has the perfect balance.
Warning: Contains vampire orgies, angsty demon sex, a frisky lesbian werewolf, light kink, and enough sex toys to start a store.

We emerged from the coffin to find a note taped to the inside of my closet door, with the instructions, “Sean, read this first.”
No good would come of that. Irritated, I handed him the note and opened the door. I emerged into an empty, silent bedroom. Blinking in confusion, I paused after a few steps. No flock, no werewolves and no one seated at my computer. The door was shut and locked, and my stomach dropped as I was blasted by an icy wave of fear.
“What’s wrong?” I asked, whirling on Sean.
He stood in the doorway to the closet, lean and so tall he nearly scraped the doorframe. Sean studied me silently, his face a placid mask, and then he slowly unbuttoned the jacket he’d just donned and set it aside.
“Sean…” My voice dropped in warning as he began unbuttoning his shirt. I growled for added effect, but he continued, stripping the shirt and then the undershirt beneath until he was bare-chested. He didn’t seem interested or aroused—Sean looked like a man being led to the gallows. I growled again, but instead of a threat it was a sound of interest voice by my stirring demon. She was captivated by the landscape of pale skin across his toned abs, wondering what his skin would feel like beneath our fingertips.
"Lean and strong, like our Athena. Wouldn’t they make a striking pair in our bed?”
“Elizabeth, come here,” Sean ordered.
I was halfway to him before I realized what had happened—anger at falling so easily into the reflex warred with my demon’s desire to obey. With a snarl I froze, planting my feet in a fighting stance just out of arm’s reach.
“What the fuck is going on?” I snapped.
