Goodreads Synopsis:

Demi Shepherd is going to jail.

As a professional heartbreaker, she’s been charged with the murder of one of her clients. She can’t explain how fifty thousand dollars ended up in her bank account, how her fingerprints were found on the murder weapon and who called in an anonymous tip labeling her as the murderer. Determined to clear her name and find out who uprooted her life, Demi goes on the run and turns to the least likely of allies: the man she believes set her up for murder.

Jack Austin is Demi’s only chance of clearing her name, but
as an undercover organized crime agent, whose only goal is to bring down the organization laundering money through one of Vegas’ casinos, he’s not willing to risk his life or career for her. That is until Demi shows her innocence.

With former clients and victims on her trail and unknown shooters finding her every step of the way, Demi fights for her life and her damaged heart, but will Jack protect either?

Book Review:

This book gets the reader running from page one. Who knew there are actually people out there that hire others to do their dirty work....breaking up. This has to be a career in demand. Demi gets paid big bucks to break-up people's relationships. One thing Demi did not see coming was taking a job that would end up with her being the main suspect in a murder. Lucky for her the person that finds the body is the sexy undercover cop Jack Austin. These two don't meet at the best of times especially with Demi being on her ass while Jack pulls her client's ex off her...LOL. Demi fought through this whole book to prove she was innocent. This chick did NOT take a murder charge lightly.

Overall good read. Once you get started be prepared to finish. There's not one dull moment until the last period of the book. I would have liked more details about Jack and Demi. We don't really get much back story. We know that Demi has an asshat ex-husband but nothing really about Jack. We do get one hot and steamy moment but I had a complete OMFG moment because really chick you just met this dude and yal already bumping uglies. But anyway, if you're looking for a quick read this is your book. I am not the fastest of readers and was done in about one hour. This book is rated 3 notes because it's a good story but I would have liked more detail. Would most definitely recommend.
