Goodreads Synopsis:
He’s dangerous, sexy, and everything she wants…
Sierra hit it off with Hayden from the moment they met. The dangerously sexy, tattooed ex-SEAL is one of the best friends she’s ever had—and the main star in her wildest fantasies. But he doesn’t see her that way. And she’d die of embarrassment if he found out she was still a virgin.
And he’s about to make his claim…
Hayden’s struggled to keep his attraction to the beautiful, dark haired casino chef a secret. He’s not good enough for her. But when an attacker targets Sierra, Hayden’s protective instincts go into overdrive. With the attraction between them burning out of control, he’ll do whatever it takes to protect her and convince her they’re meant to be together.
First Surrender is book 1 in Katie Reus's new series The Serafina: Sin City Series. While this first book is a novella and intended to be an introduction to the series, I found I really enjoyed the short story and the two main characters featured. Hayden is your typical alpha male but what I really loved about his character is how hard he worked to build a friendship with Sierra before trying to make her "his woman". **Although he could make me his woman ANY day!!** Sierra is sweet and innocent and doesn't believe she will ever tempt Hayden to be more than just her male best friend. When Hayden finally finds the courage to pursue Sierra, these two burn up the sheets and leave fans wishing for more!!!
Reus does an excellent job of building interest in future characters and making readers want to know more about their individual back stories. Sensual Surrender was recently published and will feature Hayden's brother Jay and his pursuit to get the girl of his dreams back. I will be sinking my teeth into that one next. I'm giving this one 4 notes and 5 flames!!!
