Harper Sloan can pull my heart strings like no other author.  Bleeding Love does exactly as the title suggests....leaves readers bleeding love for the characters she gives us in Liam and Megan. As a long time fan of the Corps Security Series, I have been thrilled with Sloan's Hope Town spin off, which gives readers the second generation love stories.

We first met Megan in Unexpected Fate, which was Cohen and Dani's book, and boy was the poor girl pitiful and broken.  Having just lost her husband, a former solider that served with Cohen, Megan is trying her best to keep her head above water while caring for her young daughter.  She's not interested in making new friends and even less interested in kindling love affairs especially with someone as intense as Liam.  What Megan doesn't know is that once inducted into the Corps Security family, always inducted into the Corps Security family and after 2 years, she finds herself more and more intertwined with the group.  She's not prepared for the kindness and love she's experienced from Izzy and Asher.  And one night of letting her walls down, means she opens herself up to a one night stand with Liam.  Boy she's in trouble now.

Liam Beckett has bid his time well waiting for Megan to be ready to accept all that he wishes to give to her. He's more than ready and like all of the men in his family, he took one look at Megan and knew she was his future.  So Liam has been willing to wait and give Megan the time she needs to grieve her husband and accept new love into her life.  When she opens herself up to him on the night of Dani and Cohen's wedding, Liam takes everything she has to offer.  He also let it be known that he's done waiting for her and he will be pursuing her full speed ahead.  The boy is alpha male personified and good gracious he is HOT!

I loved loved loved everything single detail of Liam and Megan's story in Bleeding Love.  It was sad, overwhelming and times, downright funny, and just simply sweet.  The one aspect of Harper Sloan that makes her books stand above all others, is the strong sense of family she brings into the storylines, and her ability to use her secondary characters in a way that doesn't overshadow the main characters but lends so much support you really feel like they are a central part of the story.  Liam and Megan definitely had that feel with Dani, Nate, Asher and Izzy playing a huge role in their happily every after.  Some of my favorite scenes are with Asher, Nate and Megan's daughter.  Too cute.

If you are a fan of Harper Sloan, Bleeding Love is not to be missed.  I'm giving this one 5 Sweltering Keys!  Can't wait to see what's up next!

His mouth leaves mine and with his hand still on my leg, he demands, “Dig your heels in deep, baby.”

I give him what he wants, but not because he told me to. I give him what he wants because when his hand leaves my leg and pushes into the mattress, bringing his body up he goes even deeper into my body and those heels push hard.

Just as he demanded earlier, my hands go to his shoulders on my own accord and as he takes my body hard, my nails dig in with my heels still pushing hard against the small of his back. Our eyes never leave each other’s probing gaze. Never once do I take my eyes away from his, so full of lust that I know there isn’t an ounce of control left in his body.
 

He drops his head and I lift up to meet him in a kiss so sweet it doesn’t match the powerful way that he’s taking my body. A kiss that gives me more than words ever could at this moment.
