Mine to Have is book 5 in Cynthia Eden's popular Romantic Suspense Mine Series and features a new set of characters that she introduced in Mine to Crave (Book 4).  Saxon Black has been working undercover ops for the past 10 plus years, and he has had it!  With a definite exit plan in place he agrees to do his brother Victor one last favor.  When the seemingly simple op turns into something more intense, Saxon and Victor realize that Elizabeth is not just a victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time,.....she is the intended target! 

Elizabeth Ward has no clue how she ends up tied to a chair with thugs threatening to kill her.  All she knows is a sexy dangerous looking man struts in and offers to pay for one hour alone with her. Feeling that things can't possibly get any worse, Elizabeth prepares to fight for her dignity while also trying to figure out a way out of her mess.  When she finds herself on the back of Saxon motorcycle fleeing the scene he rescues her from, she has no idea whether to trust the man or take off running.

The Insta-lust between Saxon and Elizabeth is hard to swallow at first.  Their initial scenes felt forced and lacked chemistry, however the second half of the book really made the couple coalesce for me.  Cynthia Eden writes twists and turns like no other author and she creatively weaves a major OMG moment into this book.  Even more, that OMG moment leads to an even bigger OMG moment that doesn't get revealed by the end of this book.  So, essentially fans can expect Saxon's brother Victor will be getting his HEA in a future book.

I admit to being quite surprised at seeing Mine to Have show up as an ARC on Net Galley because I assumed like many other fans that Eden was ending the series with her last book since the original heroes found and conquered love! While I have enjoyed the series, I hope that it doesn't wear out it's welcome by forced storylines that hold no heart.  Don't get me wrong, I'm going to be all over a book for Victor but I hope his book ends the series.  I'm giving this one 4 Sweltering Keys!
