I have pinned for Asher Book since first beginning the Second Chance series and Jessica Lemmon did not disappoint.  Return of the Bad Boy was everything I expected in a romance read and more.  Asher was his usual but hole self and Gloria remained as spunky, sarcastic and condescending as she has been in previous books.

Asher Knight is a smoking HOT drinking womanizing rock star who writes children books.  I know....that picture didn't fit to me either.  He's bound and determine to not allow himself to fall for a woman like he has seen his friends do one at a time.  He keeps his guard up at all times but then sometimes the woman destine for you is the one you don't see coming.  That's exactly what happens when he beds his publisher Gloria.  When Asher decides to settle down after learning he has a son, he can't imagine his life raising a child but even more, he can't imagine a life without Gloria by his side as more than just his publisher.  Determined to make her his, Asher makes it his mission to get Gloria by any means necessary.

Gloria is a spitfire who doesn't take crap from anyone, especially the man she allowed to breach her wall once and left her broken.  Determined to never allow Asher anywhere near her heart again, Gloria makes it her mission to keep their relationship strictly business.  She is successful until she sees Asher making an effort to change so that he can spend time with his son.  Watching Asher be a dad is one of the most rewarding things for her and she's determine to not let it soften her resolve against him but then some things are just meant to be.

I really enjoyed Gloria and Asher getting to know each other in a new light while also learning to care for a child. It was so cute how Gloria kept trying to keep her distance and not fall for Asher's son.  If you're looking for a cute read that's spunky and engaging Jessica Lemmon will never leave you hanging.  I'm giving Return of the Bad Boy 5 Sweltering Keys!
